Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant – Inventory Experience Encouraged
Job Description:
Rug & Kilim is looking for candidates with a minimum of 5 years’ experience concentrated in bookkeeping and accounting, including experience working with inventory management as integral to the position. The bookkeeper/accountant will report directly to the Vice President while cooperating with several team members in Sales and Logistics, all of whom will support this position on a daily basis. The most essential skills our ideal candidate should have include but are not limited to:
- Proficiency in EXCEL to organize and analyze information
- Ability to communicate the information clearly and concisely to get points across
- Personable when dealing with external calls and emails to achieve good results for accounts receivable (and maintain essential relationships)
- Organized and detail oriented to achieve strict weekly and monthly accounts payable measures
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online where our company organizes all information
- Ability to analyze information and take initiative to streamline processes once approved by upper management
- Ability to analyze income and costs to give suggestions on paths to improve
- Ability to navigate Google Drive and keep our folders and drives current
- Adept in tax preparation, including an understanding of all related payables for local and state compliance for a retail/wholesale operation
- Logistics oriented, with inventory management including domestic and international shipping
- A team player with leadership qualities—one who is trustworthy, honest, and wants to grow with a stable but growing business
