A vintage 4×7 mid-century rug from the Mid-Century Pasha Collection by Rug & Kilim. Hand-knotted in wool from Turkey circa 1960-1970, believed to be among the rare curations of multi-disciplinary icon, Zeki Müren.
On the Design:
The piece marks a take on traditional, almost tribal Turkish sensibilities with a distressed, shabby-chic texture inherent to this artist. Anatolian motifs enjoy more modern colorways like red, blue and purple on the more rustic golden-brown; a fabulous marriage of classic geometry with a playful sense of movement.
