$7,800.00This antique 8×15 Doroksh Persian rug is a new entry in Rug & Kilim’s rare classic curations. Hand-knotted in wool circa 1850-1860.

This design enjoys a paisley border, floral scrolls, and tribal geometry in the field, all with meticulous detail and movement. Keen eyes will admire reds, blacks, blues and rust oranges in the rich colors this uncommon design enjoys. R&K Principal Josh Nazmiyal suspects this piece is from the Herati provenance, which is sometimes called Doroksh style in the market. This rug is a rare gallery-sized rug, and a treasure of shabby-chic style and archaic design for its age and origin.
