Hand-knotted in wool circa 1880-1890, a rare antique Persian rug of Sarouk lineage, believed to be of Markazi provenance.

This exceptional turn-of-the-century piece is finely woven with healthy lustrous wool with a manageable pile height in such gracious large size. The all over floral pattern revels in a delicious play of bordeaux red, deep blues and mild beige-brown accents, exemplifying the rich, regal charm of Persian craftsmanship.

Further enjoying good condition for its provenance with only mild wear, a delicious selection very well maintained for its age.
