An antique 10×13 Persian Sultanabad rug of rare open-field design in red and beige-brown. Hand knotted in wool circa 1880-1890, enjoying good condition for an antique Sultanabad rug of this age and distinction.

The red field background sports a tasteful abrashed striation, both inviting and able to sit beautifully under furniture. Whimsical blue accents in the floral border further complement the natural play of rich and forgiving hues enjoyed here.
