Antique Tabriz Golden-Yellow Wool Rug with 17th Century Garden Design 10782

This antique Tabriz wool rug from Rug & Kilim was inspired by a 17th century garden design with all-over floral patterns. From 1900-1920, the workshop in India that handled this piece mastered this pattern in very finely woven thin wool, featuring a beige background with flowers in golden-yellow, green, pink, and muted orange. The black accents within the border and field represent a pronounced addition to the color scheme, creating a unique almost-negative space around the flower scroll patterns in the border especially.
