This rare antique geometric rug from Iraq comprises wool in beige, brown, orange, red, yellow and cream. Rows of squares within the pieces hold diamonds inside. While each diamond is shown in the same red-hued brown, the background of its corresponding square changes. Some squares are shown in solid black or cream, alternating down an entire row of the antique Iraq rug. Others feature squares in two colors, such as yellow, orange, black, and light brown. These squares also alternate colors yet run down an entire row of the rug.
