Originating from India circa 1880-1890, this 10×17 antique Amritsar rug is among the most rare additions to our collection.
Inspired by early Persian design, this hand-knotted wool masterpiece depicts an elaborate mural of grand pictorials and floral patterns. A most unusual, yet regal colorway includes henna green with beige-brown, gold, and pinkish-red notes of the richest variety. Connoisseurs may admire animal pictorials surrounding the floral medallion, drawing heavily on classic Tabriz hunting rug inspirations.
