This antique 13×23 Persian rug is an exceptionally rare palace-sized carpet of Heriz provenance—hand-knotted in wool circa 1900-1910.

Its design is exemplary of the rosette-style medallions and intricate, dense geometric floral patterns this lineage favors as well. The colorway is a rich, traditional play of red and blue with salmon pink, teal, beige-brown and countless other colors to the keen eye. This is a complex, regal piece, both extremely collectible in its rarities and gorgeous in its meticulous details.
