Newly unveiled from Rug & Kilim’s Antique & Vintage Collection, an extremely rare 12×16 antique Persian rug of Bakhtiari provenance.
Hand-knotted in wool circa 1910-1920, the gorgeous floral patterns flourish in a play of red, blue with pink & green accents atop a black background for an unusual orientation in design. Connoisseurs may note more freeform takes on classic palmette imagery, further lending to the collectibility of such a grand large size piece less strict than traditional works of this coveted lineage.
Further boasting amazing condition for its countenance, a masterpiece from one of the best groups in Bakhtiari weaving. Among the personal curations of R&K Principal Josh Nazmiyal.
