Vintage Persian Tribal Rug in Beige with Red Animal Pictorials by Rug & Kilim

This vintage 4×8 Persian rug is a rare new addition to Rug & Kilim’s collection. Hand-knotted in wool, it originates circa 1950-1960. 

Connoisseurs will admire this as a collectible work of nomadic, primitivist folk art by tribal weavers of the time. Its design enjoys a beige and gray field with bright red animal depictions that resemble rams, possibly even elks. Keen eyes will further admire geometric depictions of floral patterns in border with a gorgeous rand of bright colors. This is a one-of-a-kind piece with personality and rustic, old-world charm with vast design applications.
