Vintage Rug in Red with Off-White Stripe Patterns by Rug & Kilim

This vintage 4×7 rug is a new addition Rug & Kilim’s rare mid-century curations. Hand-knotted in wool, it originates from Turkey circa 1950-1960.

This rug is one of a distinct pair in its provenance that enjoys minimalist geometric patterns and simple, yet sweet colors. This particular piece hosts brick red and salmon tones with off-white borders that permeate the field in stripe patterns.

Further on the Condition:

Keen eyes will note a mild distressed element in the pile, and admire its natural play with the color striae and abrashed field alike. This mid-century rug further enjoys otherwise good condition for its age and unusual origin.
