Vintage Zeki Muren Art Deco Rug in Pink with Colorful Patterns – by Rug & Kilim

This vintage 7×9 rug is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren.

The piece connotes one of the artist’s unique mid-century take on art deco designs, and enjoys colorful geometric patterns on salmon pink. Keen eyes will note ice blue, beige-brown, and off-white in the many colors and fabulous movement these curved patterns evoke. Connoisseurs will further admire this as a collectible, and a rare full-pile piece with the most mild wear we’ve seen of Müren’s works. This mid-century rug further enjoys an otherwise good condition for this shabby-chic lineage. Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970.
