Vintage Zeki Müren Rug in Beige-Brown Patterns by Rug & Kilim

This vintage 4×7 rug is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. The line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren.

This particular design exemplifies Müren’s talent for recapturing a wide range of aesthetics in his own mid-century style. Connoisseurs may observe a French Art Deco sensibility in its sharp geometric patterns and lattices in field and border. Keen eyes will further note subdued light-green accents with the beige-brown, and admire the subtle distinction it lends. One seldom sees this style with such a neutral, cozy presence, and it speaks to Müren as an inventive student of his craft.
