Vintage Zeki Müren Rug in Tones of Blue, Gold & Brown, from Rug & Kilim

 This vintage 5×9 rug is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren. Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970.

The rug is a quintessential piece in his rare style where a connoisseur might see the subtle influence of traditional Turkish geometric patterns in the more playful modern colors. Connoisseurs will admire the sheer attention to craft that achieves this sense of movement—a hallmark of Müren’s rare style.

This mid-century Zeki Müren rug further enjoys good condition for its age and origin. Its construction has been lowered to preserve its construction, which lends it the distressed look of wear and chic in a low pile.
