Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Modern Zeki Müren Art Deco Rug

Hand-knotted in wool, circa 1960 – 1970, this 4×6 vintage Müren Art Deco rug is an exciting new addition to Rug & Kilim Mid-century Pasha Collection. Its design is believed to be a rare work of mid-century atelier Zeki Müren.

From the prestigious Mid-Century Pasha Collection, featuring designs by Zeki Müren, this rug’s design showcases Müren’s ability to infuse modern artistry in a Vintage piece. A keen eye for detail would further notice the intersecting lines that create a visually engaging geometric pattern on the field. Each line, in orange, intersects with precision, forming a symmetrical arrangement that adds a sense of balance and structure to the rug. Amidst the criss-cross sections, the rug is adorned with modern vertical and horizontal dashed lines in color pops of red, blue, and beige. 

Condition:

This mid-century Zeki Müren rug further enjoys a rare good condition for its age and origin. Its construction is like few of this artist’s works with full pile and exceptional quality—a rare find with vast applications today
