Connoisseurs will admire the striped pattern of this design, which is reflective of signature Afghan designs. Striped pieces like this were often woven from several long, narrow pieces into one, due to the fact that the weavers had to work in smaller spaces. The usage of beige/brown and red tones create visual contrast in the patterns, and the beige border with geometric patterns draws attention to the field.
