Handwoven in wool, circa 1950-1960, this 6×11 vintage Persian tribal kilim rug, with intricate geometric patterned stripes, is an exciting new curation in the Rug & Kilim collection. 

On the design:

Connoisseurs will admire the geometric striped pattern of this rug with vast applications in its gracious size and presence. Striped pieces like this were often woven from several long, narrow pieces into one, due to the fact that the weavers had to work in smaller spaces. The usage of beige/brown, and silver/gray tones create a striking visual contrast. 

Condition:

This mid-century Persian rug enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
