Vintage Shahsavan Persian tribal Kilim rug, in Red, from Rug & Kilim

Handwoven in wool, circa 1950-1960, this 4×6 vintage  Shahsavan Persian tribal Kilim rug in red, with silver/gray and blue stripes, is an exciting addition to the Rug & Kilim collection.

The Vintage Shahsavan Persian tribal Kilim rugs, often referred to as “palas,” are highly regarded for their distinct aesthetic and cultural significance. This particular rug embodies the unique geometric pattern and stripe combination, which further adds a sense of depth and dimension to the rug. The use of bold red, combined with the contrasting silver/gray and blue stripes, creates a visually striking composition.
