Vintage Persian Kilim in Red with Off-White and Blue Stripes by Rug & Kilim

This vintage 4×8 Persian kilim is handwoven in wool, and originates circa 1950-1960.

Its design is a tribal panel-weave that marries two large, long pieces into one, as seen in the middle. This particular panel-weave creates a rich red open field framed in off-white and navy blue stripes on its borders. A keen eye would note colorful textural accents on the borders and their playful complement to this piece’s presence. 

This mid-century Kilim further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
