Vintage Persian Kilim Rug in Beige with Black Stripes

This vintage 9×12 Kilim is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s repertoire of panel-woven Persian flat weaves. Handwoven in all wool, it originates circa 1950-1960 and enjoys a simply, yet beautiful minimalist sensibility.

This flat weave is a larger selection than most of its provenance, which wove smaller panels into larger pieces as a closer-look reveals. Keen eyes will admire the forgiving undertone and the natural positive-negative element it lends the black stripes above. The result remains a very contemporary, comfortable choice among mid-century Kilims, and promises to age beautifully in any space.
