A mid-century vintage Kirsehir Turkish pile rug, this runner comprises wool for its colorful red foundation and complementary purple, pink, green, and yellow details. This vintage Turkish runner originated circa 1950-1960 with a vibrant appearance perfect for a 3’6 x 18’8 runner in a grand hallway. Within the center of the piece, three sets of four yellow-and-green triangles in bow-tie formation are separated by a diamond-shaped medallion that includes red-and-green circular details that are cordoned off by cream cross-shaped partitions. Green star-shaped designs appear above and below the top and bottom groups of triangles. At the bottom of the vintage Turkish rug, there appear purple blade-shaped designs that feature pink heart shapes and orange detail. A border of geometric patterns in red, pink, purple, orange, and green create an edge design complementary to the entire piece.
