Rug & Kilim’s Persian Style Runner in Beige with Pink and Black Horse Pictorials

This new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Modern Classics collection is a 3×10 pictorial runner—a contemporary resurrection of one of the most collectible primitivist styles.

Hand-knotted in wool, this piece is inspired by Gabbeh tribal rugs and similar, rare forms of Persian folk art. Its pictorials depict triplets of running horses in black and salmon pink tones on a beige field. Keen eyes will further admire the striae of yarns that achieves an abrashed, textural look in the field and pattern colorway. It’s an immersive high-end take on a revered nomadic antique rug style of graphic beauty and dramatic presence.
