Hand knotted with Mahal wool, much finer than typical wool creating an almost shimmering luster like that of silk, the field design portrays palmettes, irises, symbols resembling pomegranates and islimi vine scrolls repeated in finely woven curvilinear patterns throughout both the rich brown field and gentle beige borders.
