An custom design addition to the Mid-Century Modern rug collection, by Rug & Kilim in collaboration with the works of Campbell Laird. Inspired by Laird’s “Booyballa No. 2”, this former 6×8 design exemplifies this collection’s bold, innovative representation of post-modernist abstract styles in unprecedented scale, texture, premium wool, color, and attitude—all reflected in this debut of the style in our medium. Delicious red arrests the eye in tandem with chic silver, beige-brown and gold against an off-white background reimagining the sheer presence and joy an art rug might lend. A brilliant, sophisticated modern rug marrying both our reputed quality and the sensational works of the artist in collaboration.

About the Artist: Born and raised in Hobart, Tasmania, Laird played with a successful rock band and traveled extensively through Europe, US and Australia. Owing to extreme tiredness and a distaste for malodorous hotel rooms, Laird retired from the high life and settled in New York City where he lived for more than twenty years creating award winning imagery for Galleries, editorial, corporate and advertising clients throughout the world. In 2005, he moved to Venice CA for the air, the light, the sea and a beautiful new studio.
