This vintage 8×8 Bidjar Persian Jajim kilim is a unique tribal rug for its period—handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960.
Further on the Design:
The field is done in a striae—more particularly, finely woven stripes that alternate with a one-of-a-kind look. Keen eyes will admire reds, pinks, ochres, and chocolate browns in the meticulous play of rich and vibrant tones. A deft hand, playful sense of movement, and joyful presence are a few of its features that exemplify the Jajim style. The piece further sports a square size like few Persian Bidjar rugs in its period, and vast applications therein.
Further on the Condition:
This mid-century Persian tribal flat weave further enjoys good condition for its age and origin. It’s ready for the floor, and is available with or without our custom non-slip padding upon request.
