While believed to hail from Romania, connoisseurs may note an inspiration from late 19th century French Art Deco styles on behalf of the weaver. The striking geometry and floral motifs in pale green, blue, orange and other hues bears a resemblance to the work of a celebrated French designer. Renowned for kindred works of such bold presence and collectibility, this piece is likely an homage to this Parisian style, in exceptional condition for its age and origin.
