Vintage Bidjar Persian Kilim in Red and Black Geometric Patterns by Rug & Kilim

This vintage 9×10 Persian Kilim is an outstanding new addition of Bidjar provenance in Rug & Kilim’s rare tribal curations. Handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960.

Bidjar Kilims like this are reputed for their durability and distinct nomadic designs. This particular rug is specifically a very rare type like few Josh has ever seen with some of the widest panels of the panel weaving style. Many colors are at play in its gorgeous sense of movement and deft geometric patterns, but the design quite favors its rich burgundy and black that complement each other quite naturally. This is a collectible design that further enjoys meticulous detail and vibrant polychromatic colors with an arresting sense of movement.

This rare mid-century Bidjar flat weave further enjoys good condition for its age and origin. Ready for the floor.
