On the Design:
Larger than almost anything we’ve found of this Persian tribal family, the piece showcases an all over tribal pattern in seldom-seen rust pink with beige-brown and blue punctuations in the field geometry. Fine fringes line borders with subdued stripe patterns in similar hues to the prevailing colorways. Enjoying good condition, a collectible and charming piece from this rustic provenance.
On the Symbols:
Connoisseurs may note symbols including eight-pointed star motifs in the field and ram’s horn motifs in meandering borders. The star motif may connote the Jewish Star of David or a symbol of joy and fertility; either element possibly remarking a dowry bridal piece in tandem with the rams horn’s meaning of strength and endurance.
