A rare vintage rug originating from Iraq, this mid-century runner features a geometric pattern inspired by Moroccan style rug patterns. Hand knotted circa 1950-1960 comprising wool in beige, orange, red, black, brown, and yellow, this particular vintage Iraqi rug features rows of squares that each encase a diamond within. The background of every square changes, while each corresponding red-hued diamond remains the same. Some squares are shown in solid black, cream, or orange, alternating down an entire row of the antique Iraq rug. Others feature squares in two colors, such as yellow, orange, and brown.
