This vintage 5×10 Persian Kilim is a tribal rug believed to hail from Meshkin—a small Iranian village known for its craft. Handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960, these are sometimes called Northwest designs—a well-known Persian provenance.
Further on the Design:
This design prefers a vibrant polychromatic colorway, and a meticulous detail in its geometric patterns. Connoisseurs may appreciate its unusual nomadic motifs seldom seen beyond Senneh and Verneh Kilims, and let alone in these playful colors. It’s a rare tribal design with a bold personality and sense of life anywhere it sits.
Further on the Condition:
This mid-century Northwest Persian flat weave further enjoys good condition for its age and origin. It’s ready for the floor, and is available with or without our custom non-slip padding upon request.
