This vintage 6×12 Persian kilim is a tribal rug of Shahsavan provenance. Handwoven in wool, it originates circa 1950-1960.

This tribal Kilim favors stripes in brick red and dark blue stripes with beige and brown in the border that surrounds them. It’s a simple piece with many beauties in its subtle details, pleasing presence, and versatile size with vast applications. The vegetable dyes have kept up gorgeous overtime, and promise to age the same.
