This vintage 5×14 Persian Kilim is believed to be a Shahsavan tribal rug, and a unique piece in its period. Handwoven in wool, it originates circa 1950-1960 from a rare selection of colorful mid-century flat weaves.
Further on the Design:
The piece is made with panel-woven stripes in a polychromatic style that’s very special and meticulous for its time. Keen eyes will admire these vibrant accents and variations within the prevailing teal, red, and beige-brown tones. It’s a finely detailed, yet still quite livable and comfortable design that further enjoys good condition for its provenance.
This Kilim is ready for the floor, and is available with or without or custom non-slip padding upon request.
