Vintage Zeki Müren rug in Orange with Off-White Medallions – by Rug & Kilim

This vintage 6×9 rug is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren.

This design connotes Müren’s mid-century ‘industrial’ take on Art Deco designs, and a play of geometric and floral patterns alike. The off-white medallion patterns resemble European cartouches, and sit gorgeous on the warm rust-orange field. Keen eyes will admire how well these bright, elegant hues play together, and how uniquely naturally they sit in the distressed texture. An exemplar of Müren’s distinguished works, and his deft hand.

This mid-century rug further enjoys an otherwise good condition for this shabby-chic lineage. Ready for the floor, and especially well-suited to projects yearning for country aesthetics.
