Vintage Zeki Müren Rug in Pink with Green Floral Patterns by Rug & Kilim

This vintage 4×6 rug is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren

Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970, its design enjoys floral motifs that resemble trees in forest green with beige-brown accents. Connoisseurs may note Müren’s works are especially renowned for their playful use of color, though this piece’s salmon pink field is a rare choice even in his distinct works. The whole piece is an exemplar of Müren’s talent for using unusual colors in the most complementary way.
