This vintage 5×6 rug is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s commemorative Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration of rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren.

This distressed piece enjoys a dextrous geometric pattern alternating in polychromatic tones playing naturally with the low pile. Connoisseurs may further note inspiration from classic Anatolian designs, and admire the diversity of Müren’s influences in design. Rich red, icy blue, green, and even copper can be seen in the many colors this design enjoys.

A colorful mid-century design in otherwise good condition for this shabby-chic lineage, worthy of sophisticated projects yearning for country aesthetics. Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970.
