Vintage Zeki Müren Rug in Tea Green with Polychromatic Patterns by Rug & Kilim

This vintage 6×9 rug is a rare new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren.

Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970, this design captures Müren’s unique sense of attitude and love for graphic pieces with joyful colors. The field favors tea green under geometric patterns in vibrant colors and playful shapes. Keen eyes may see a play of Art Deco and abstract sensibility through Müren’s unusual mid-century interpretation of classics. 

This mid-century rug is furthermore a collectible work in Müren’s repertoire for its rare room size and great condition.
