This vintage 3×5 rug is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren.

Inspired by abstract paintings, this distressed piece enjoys a joyful polychromatic pattern one would seldom see in this shabby-chic low pile. The splash of color sits gorgeous on a gold background, and completes the look of warmth and painterly beauty. Connoisseurs will note that this is an extremely collectible piece from Müren’s works, and an exemplar of his diverse influences.

This mid-century rug further enjoys an otherwise good condition for this shabby-chic lineage. Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970.
