Vintage Bidjar Persian Kilim with Diamonds and Geometric Patterns by Rug & Kilim

This vintage 5×12 Persian Kilim is a gallery runner believed to be a Bidjar rug—handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960.

Its design enjoys black diamond medallions on a bright red open field, both enjoying a wide range of smaller motifs.  Keen eyes will further admire especially present teal and pink notes in the many vibrant accents. It’s an exemplary flat weave in the sense of movement and personal, inviting nature that distinguished Persian folk art to this day.

This mid-century Persian Bidjar Kilimfurther enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
