1Do you offer rugs for short-term rental?
Yes. We offer a curated selection of rugs available for short-term rental, ideal for photo shoots, film and television sets, event staging, gallery installations, and other temporary settings where impact and authenticity are essential.
2What does the rental cost include?
Rental fees typically begin at 10% - 20% of the rug’s retail value per day. This rate includes consultation, handling, and condition inspection before and after the rental period. Delivery, pickup, and additional services can be arranged upon request.
3How long can I rent a rug for?
Rentals can range from a single day to multiple weeks, depending on your needs. We’re happy to accommodate flexible timeframes and extended rental periods, with pricing adjusted accordingly.
4Can I rent a specific rug I saw in your showroom or catalog?
Availability depends on the piece and its current status. While not every rug is eligible for rental, we’re happy to review your request and, when possible, offer comparable alternatives if the desired piece is unavailable.
5Do you require a deposit for rentals?
Yes. A fully refundable security deposit is typically required, based on the value of the rug and duration of the rental. This ensures coverage against any potential damage or loss.
6What if the rug gets damaged during the rental?
We expect all rentals to be treated with care. In the event of damage, repair or replacement costs will be deducted from the security deposit. Our team will provide a fair assessment and offer restoration services when appropriate.
7Are there any usage restrictions?
Yes. Rugs must be used indoors on clean, dry surfaces and may not be altered or installed with adhesives or fasteners. If special use is required, please let us know in advance so we can advise accordingly.
8Do I need to credit Rug & Kilim when using your rugs in a production or shoot?
We kindly ask that Rug & Kilim be credited in any published, televised, or publicly displayed project featuring our rugs. This applies to print, digital, film, and exhibition formats. Credit guidelines can be provided upon request.
9Can I buy the rug after renting it?
In many cases, yes. If you fall in love with a piece during your rental, we’re happy to apply the rental fee toward the purchase price.
