Vintage Shahsavan Persian Kilim in Brown with Beige Stripes, from Rug & Kilim

This vintage 6×11 Persian Kilim is a mid-century palas flatweave believed to hail from the Shahsavan tribe—handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960.

On the Design:

This Shahsavan rug enjoys a rich brown field with stripes in off-white and beige in an all-over pattern. Keen eyes may further note salmon-pink and red tones in the beige, and admire the subtle accents that lend a touch of intrigue to an otherwise simple, comfortable piece.
