Vintage Shahsavan Persian Kilim rug in Polychromatic Stripes by Rug & Kilim

This vintage 5×9 Persian kilim is a unique tribal rug for its period and provenance. Handwoven in wool, it’s believed to be of Shahsavan provenance and originates circa 1950-1960.

The field hosts horizontal stripes alternating in red, brown, blue, black & white variations. Connoisseurs will note the rarity of such exuberant colorways in this provenance, and let alone in such good condition today. This is a graphic, yet livable piece with vast applications and rare features alike.
