These photos represent a 10×14 rug from this collection, hand-knotted in wool. Its particular design nods to Tibetan tiger-skin rugs in a regal pictorial style like that of a pelt. The field favors blue with teal notes, and a play of orange and brown geometric patterns like stripes on a tiger’s back. Keen eyes will further admire the many stylistic accents, too, and the sense of definition they lend this design. It’s a smart reimagining of an iconic style to a larger scale and more refined quality that offers vast design applications.
