This vintage 4×9 Shahsavan Persian kilim is handwoven in wool, and originates circa 1950-1960.

On the Design:

This rare piece enjoys medallions on the open field favouring red, beige-brown & blue with hints of vibrant pink – beautifully complementing the traditional colors. A keen eye would note fine pictorial patterns accompanying the tribal motifs on the field. 

A rug with vast applications in its versatile size and presence.
