“Rez Kilim” represents a contemporary homage to Turkish and Persian panel-weaving styles in a textural approach to minimalist rugs. This piece enjoys a play of black and cream tones in the weft and stitching between the panels (or columns). Admirers of the craft will appreciate the way the fundamentals of a traditional flatweaving style have been reimagined in an almost impressionistic look at geometry, ribbing, and the subtleties of a Kilim. The result yields both a fabulous new look and a more comfortable, durable flatweave body for the modern design; a simple, comfortable choice that recreates the element of personal and intricate beauty of Kilims in new large sizes and refreshing colors.
