Vintage Persian Kilim in Polychromatic Stripes by Rug & Kilim

This vintage 5×8 Persian kilim is handwoven in wool, and originates circa 1950-1960.

On the Design:

This design remarks the panel-weaving technique, in which tribal weavers combine multiple pieces into a larger Kilim. The piece is panel woven in fun, saturated colors in stripes with whimsical textural accents on the borders. Connoisseurs will note few flat  weaves in its period that enjoy so many colors and such a whimsy to their design. It’s a playful tribal rug, able to brighten any space, and its versatile size offers vast design applications.

This mid-century Persian Kilim further enjoys good condition for its age and origin, and is ready for the floor.
